Are you looking for some easy charcuterie breakfast board ideas for your family? I love charcuterie board ideas, especially with our favorite breakfast foods. The great thing is that all four of my kids will eat breakfast foods! Making easy charcuterie boards with lots of different food items that they can choose from ensures that they can all find something that they like.

It is so much fun for each child to put together their own breakfast platter favorites. It is also a great way to celebrate special occasions. A charcuterie breakfast board is a fun way to celebrate a holiday brunch, Mother’s Day, Christmas morning, or baby showers.

Grab a cup of coffee and make a list of your favorite breakfast items and let’s get to planning some great brunch board ideas!

What do I need for an easy charcuterie breakfast board set up?

Assembling an easy brunch charcuterie board does not to be a complicated process. Grab a sturdy wooden cutting board, some white ramekins, small platters, and brightly colored small dishes. I like to use some colored pieces for some pops of color on the wooden board. The one below is similar to the one I use at home.

Cheese Boards

A traditional charcuterie board will also feature cheese boards with a variety of cheese options. Consider your audience here. If you have picky eaters or young children, great options include cheddar cheese, Havarti cheese, or gouda.

If you have more mature guests at your next brunch, kick it up a notch. Consider blue cheese or a Brie round. Be sure to set out the cheeses about 30 minutes before your breakfast to allow them to soften a bit.

The perfect way to complement your cheese selections include honey, strawberry or apricot jam and yummy nuts, like walnuts or cashews.

Also, include cheese knives and small spoons to make it easy for guests to serve themselves. If you need a set, here is a good option.

Meats

A great addition to an epic brunch board has to include some meats! My favorites to add are crispy bacon, sausage links or sausage patties. If you have some vegetarians in your crew, make sure to include another protein option.

Eggs are best served as warm foods, so consider hard-boiled eggs that can be served at room temperature. Scrambled eggs or over-easy eggs should be hot foods, so save those for another day!

Baked Goods

Be sure to include some baked goods on your beautiful charcuterie board! Some ideas would include mini pancakes, mini croissants, waffles, or mini muffins. Pro tip: If you aren’t a baker mama or you have little time to prep fluffy pancakes, you do not even have to cook! Consider picking up some mini bagels and cream cheese, donut holes, mini cinnamon rolls, or French toast sticks.

I love to create my own waffle board. Put out some small bowls with whipped cream, chocolate chips, peanut butter, chocolate hazelnut spread, and some maple syrup with some mini waffles. It is a fun way for our kids to customize our own favorite brunch foods, dusted with confectioner’s sugar! It makes a perfect waffle charcuterie board.

Fresh Fruit

Ok, we have to add some fruit for a healthy breakfast idea too! A variety of fresh fruit like strawberries, blueberries, apples or orange slices are the perfect way to add some nutrition and color to your sweet treats. A difference in size and texture from fruits can also add a pretty decorative element to your grazing board.

Consider adding some Greek yogurt and granola for your kids to make a little yogurt parfait. It is a beautiful way and an easy way to add some nutrition and protein to your breakfast charcuterie board ideas.

I hope this post inspires you to make delicious and easy charcuterie breakfast boards for your family! Be sure to sign up for my free meal planner and keep reading for more fun ideas for easy family celebrations. Happy brunching!
