Valentine's Day Snack mix
the ingredients

Are you looking for a super easy Valentine’s Day snack mix for your kids? I don’t know about your children, but when mine get off the bus, they can be a bit…hangry. Sometimes, I just tell them to wash their hands and throw them a bag of Goldfish, but other times, we try to up our game a little bit. With this simple mix, coming home is a little more exciting and it can turn our moods a little brighter.

What’s in Valentine’s Day Snack Mix for Kids?

You can certainly use whatever combo you want for your snack mix, but here is what we used.

  • popcorn
  • Valentine’s M&Ms
  • pretzel sticks
  • peanuts
  • raisins or dried cherries
  • Valentine sprinkles

Different versions of popcorn

You can use any variety of popcorn – pop your own on the stovetop, microwave popcorn, or even some Skinny Pop! If you want a really simple way to pop fresh popcorn, you can even try this silicone popper from Amazon. You just put the kernels in the bottom, put the lid on and let it pop! So simple.

Almonds, walnuts or peanuts are all delicious choices!

popcorn – the perfect base!

Popcorn is delicious, any way you pop it! You can add the standard butter and salt or mix it up with a cinnamon sugar mixture for an even sweeter snack.

a little salty crunch

Gotta love the salty kick pretzels add. My older daughter added peanut butter pretzels to her mix for a different flavor.

raisins for Valentine's day snack mix
dried fruit like raisins, cherries or cranberries are delish!

We added raisins and dried cherries to our snack mix. Any kind of dried fruit would be great – even bananas or cranberries could be great. I love the red color the cherries added to the mix.

Love sprinkles

Don’t forget to add the sprinkles!
