There are several classic snacks at Disney World: pretzels, churros, Mickey Mouse ice cream bars, but lately, the iconic beignets of New Orleans have become a Disney favorite! Though they aren’t always easy to find, it is definitely worth the effort to seek them out.

Check out this post on the easiest and best places to find beignets in Walt Disney World, including Magic Kingdom park and at the Disney resorts!

What is a beignet?

Classic beignets from New Orleans are a popular French-style doughnut. Traditionally, beignets are light and airy deep-fried pastries. They are the best served hot, with powdered sugar.

You find the beignets of a more traditional pillow shape in Magic Kingdom, while the Mickey-shaped beignets can be found at Port Orleans French Quarter resort.

Where to Always Find Beignets at Disney World

The best place to always find Mickey beignets at Disney World, year round, is at Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. Port Orleans also has a sister resort, called Riverside, but Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter is the smaller sister resort of the two. I love Port Orleans French Quarter for its smaller, intimate size, great dining options, and easy boat access to Disney Springs.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter is a fantastic moderate resort at Walt Disney World. If you are at Disney Springs, hop on the boat at the Marketplace dock to float over to Port Orleans French Quarter. Or, if driving, just let the cast member at the entrance of resort know you are visiting Scat Cat’s Club for beignets (you will probably be asked to show your ID.)

Scat Cat’s Club

Scat Cat’s Club is right inside the main lobby of the Riverside French Quarter resort, past the romantic atrium fountain. Turn to the left upon entering and find Scat Cat’s Club, right at the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory (French Quarter’s quick service dining location.)

Scat Cat’s Club features fluffy beignets, coffees, and selected bottled beverages. Seasonal offerings can vary, depending on the time of year.

Beignet Options

At Scat Cat’s Club, you will find a few options. You can purchase a set of 3 or 6 Mickey-shaped treat beignets, along with a dipping sauce (usually chocolate, strawberry, or caramel). Mickey-shaped beignets with powdered sugar sprinkling…a classic combo!

You can also opt for a Mickey beignet ice cream sundae! The beignet sundae features two beignets, topped with chocolate or vanilla ice cream, caramel or chocolate sauce, and topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

Want grown up specialty beignets? Try the Baton Rouge beignets, two beignets with a pipette of Baileys Irish cream.

Gluten-Free Beignets

Looking for a gluten free beignet option? You are in the right place! If you have a gluten sensitivity, check out the gluten free options at Scat Cat’s Club Cafe. These are beignets of a more traditional pillow shape with a bit thicker consistency. Great choice for a gluten free beignet fan!

Where to Find Beignets at Magic Kingdom

If you are in Magic Kingdom, you can sometimes find beignets near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (formerly known as Splash Mountain). Once you are there, look for the Golden Oak Outpost in Adventureland or the Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland. Golden Oak Outpost is the most likely option to find these delicious treats in Magic Kingdom park. Friar’s Nook can be a bit more hit or miss with availability. Double check their menu on the My Disney Experience app.

Pricing and Menu Options

Currently listing at $7.29 at Golden Oak Outpost, Tiana’s Famous Beignets make a great use of a snack credit with the Disney Dining Plan. Honey and powdered sugar covering a beignet….Delish!

Where to Find Beignets at EPCOT

If you are in the theme parks and hankering for beignets at EPCOT, head to the France Pavilion in the World Showcase. Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie often feature beignets on their menu. In addition to delicious baguette sandwiches, soups, quiches, croissants, and…beignets! These delectable beignets are different beignets, filled with hazelnuts and chocolate – tres magnifique! As of the time of this article, pricing is $5.95.
