Use this list for great Hilton Head restaurants the next time you have a pizza craving on the South Carolina coast!
Giuseppi’s Pizza
Giuseppi’s Pizza is well known in the Hilton Head area. It’s a local favorite and often makes the list of the best pizza places in the area. You will find locations in the Hilton Head and Bluffton areas. The Hilton Head location is located at 50 Shelter Cove Ln in the Sea Pines resort area. The Bluffton restaurant is at 25 Bluffton Road.
Giuseppi’s Pizza offers great appetizers like mozzarella sticks, calamari, onion rings, chicken strips, and fried zucchini. Pizzas are made to order with homemade pizza dough, their own pizza sauce, and provolone and mozzarella cheese. Your pizza order can include plenty of meat toppings, veggie-lover options, and even white pizza with garlic sauce. A cauliflower crust option is also available. Guiseppi’s offers award-winning pizza, and they are definitely worth a try.
They have fantastic salads, sandwiches, burgers, and pasta options as well. Their buffalo chicken weggie (sandwich) is a favorite of ours! You can also order hoagie platters and specialty subs for catering! They also have some delicious wings to order. You will be known as the fun mom if you order these for your next gathering!
A kids menu is also available. A full bar menu features local draft beers at reasonable prices, bottles and cans, cocktails, daiquiris, wines, and house favorites. Giuseppi’s is one of our favorite pizza delivery spots on the island.
Mellow Mushroom
Mellow Mushroom is one of our favorite chain options for good pizza. You are pretty much guaranteed delicious pizza with the best quality ingredients. It is also one of our favorite pizza delivery spots when you just want to have a chill night at home or at the resort. You will find Mellow Mushroom at Hilton Head, North Myrtle Beach, and North Charleston.
Craving a salad? Try their Bacon Bleu wedge salad with bleu cheese crumbles, dressings, bacon and roasted California tomatoes. Delicious! They have great traditional pizzas with fresh mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and Italian sausage, but try something different too!
If you like a veggie option, try their Veg Out pizza with tomato sauce, spinach, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, black olives, and Roma tomatoes. The Funky Q. Chicken is one of our favorites! It features barbecue sauce and chicken, fresh mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, caramelized sweet onions, bacon, and barbecue sauce. The Buffalo chicken pizzas are also a winner!
Have someone who needs a gluten-free or vegan option? They have an extensive menu of vegan and gluten-free options. You can also find plenty of specialty subs and a fantastic beer and wine menu. The Hilton Head locations’ hours of operation are Monday to Sunday, 11 AM to 11 PM.
Fat Baby’s Pizza and Subs
You can find Fat Baby’s Pizza and Subs at 1034 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head. They are open Monday to Saturday from 11 AM – 9 PM. They are a fabulous local business with local staff that really love what they do!
Our favorite options at Fat Baby’s Pizza are the margherita pizzas with olive oil, fresh basil, chopped roma tomatoes, and delicious Italian cheese. Our kids love the classic cheese pizza with a thin crust – they always give it five stars on our family’s 5-star rating system.
If you are craving a great sub, check them out! In addition to quality pizzas, their subs are great. My husband’s favorite is the meatball sub, while mine is the classic club sub. Fat Baby’s also has delicious salads, calzones, appetizers, pastas, and wraps. Check them out the next time you are in the Hilton Head area.
Dough Boys
Dough Boys is a great local pizza place with the highest quality ingredients. It is also a family-owned business that has been around since December 2013. They offer customers dine-in space, takeout and island wide delivery options.
Dough Boys takes pride if preparing pizzas made from fresh ingredients. They use authenic ingredients like organic spring wheat flour from Vermont, San Marzano tomato sauce, Wisconsin cheese, and Greek olive oil. They strive to bring in fresh produce from the local farmer’s markets when available.
You can build your own pizzas or pick from their list of “local legends.” My kids love pineapple on their pizza, so we always try their Coco’s Hawaiian. It features ham, bacon, pineapple, house blend cheese, and red sauce.
Dough Boys also has delicious calzones, salads, subs, and pastas. Their desserts are also delicous! Our family loves the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cookie! Try Dough Boys if you want a nice place with friendly staff and delicous food!
Local Pie Hilton Head
Local Pie is a fantastic option for delicous pizza on Hilton Head and in Bluffton, SC. If you are craving a real Neopolitan-style wood-fired pizza, this is where you want to go! They have won multiple awards from the locals for their great quality.
Most of the pies starts with San Marzano tomato sauce, garlic sauce, or pesto. The Fly Guy is my personal favorite with garlic olive oil, mozzarella, salami, pepperoni, meatballs, carmelized onions, and arugula. Delish!
