Are you heading on a Disney vacation soon and wondering about what to wear to Epcot? Epcot is one of our favorite Disney parks and is definitely worth a visit! Your packing list may vary, depending upon whether you are traveling during the winter months or the summer months.
A great idea for any time of year is to always check the Florida weather forecast a week or so before your trip. That way, you can plan for warm days, rainy days, or even super hot days in the Disney theme parks. I hope this packing list gives you an idea of what to include in your suitcase for a great Disney World vacation!

Shoes to Wear to Epcot
Epcot is a huge park! Spanning over 300 acres, it is twice the size of Magic Kingdom. A full lap around the World Showcase alone is over 1 mile in length. Most likely, you will do a lot of walking while at Epcot, so be prepared! Use common sense and pack sensible, comfortable shoes for your time in Epcot. As with most major theme parks, this is not the perfect place to wear fancy sandals or high heels.

The best shoes are breathable and comfortable. The best option for me tends to be my Keen sandals and Brooks tennis shoes, but try several options for yourself before you decide on your favorites.
Walk around your neighborhood before you pack them in your suitcase to make sure you can stay on your feet for a while! No one has too much fun with foot pain by the end of a long day!
It’s also a good idea to have a pair of flip-flops for quick trips to the pool, the water parks, or around the resort. If you love water rides, it can also be nice to have a pair of flip flops in your bag to switch in and out of during the day. Wearing your wet shoes during your Disney trip can be quite a downer!
Also, be sure to throw Band-Aids and moleskin into your bag, just to prevent blisters on your feet. If you forget, there is a good chance you can find some in the gift shops or First Aid throughout the parks or your Disney resort. Ask a cast member if you need help locating them!

Shorts: What to Wear to Epcot
My personal preference is to wear shorts in the parks. I like casual chino shorts or denim shorts for my Disney outfits.
Combined with a button-down, sleeveless top or a short-sleeved shirt option, it can be the perfect easy option at the happiest place on Earth! Many people also love athletic shorts that keep you cool and dry in the parks. I would advise that you find a pair of athletic shorts that have bike shorts underneath to prevent any chafing during the day.
A friction defense stick is another great thing for your park bag if you are opting to wear shorts! It can prevent chafing and discomfort after a long day in the Disney parks.
Shirts: What to Wear to Epcot

You can make multiple cute outfits with your shirts for the parks. The good news is if you love Mickey Mouse, you can definitely find a shirt with short sleeves or long sleeve shirts with his face on it! This is one of my favorites of the Disney shirts!
Do you love Ratatouille? Here is a great option!
If you have especially warm weather during your trip, consider sleeveless shirts or tank top options. Does your family love the Disney family shirts theme? Go for it! It’s a great way to build anticipation for your trip and keep you connected while you are in the parks.
Of course, you don’t have to wear full-on Disney characters or Star Wars characters during your trip to have a good time. The most important thing to remember is to be comfortable during your Walt Disney World resort vacation.

Top Layers
If you do have some cold weather during your trip to Epcot, be sure to pack some top layers. I like to throw in a sweatshirt, jean jacket, or a light jacket. These particularly come in handy during chilly mornings or later in the evening at the end of the day when cooler temperatures drop.
If you travel during the winter months, check the forecast to see if you need long pants. During January and February, I usually include a pair of jeans or casual pants when average temperatures are lower in Orlando.
Epcot is home to lots of special events and festivals, so you can often find a great shirt celebrating the event. This is a fun souvenir and a way to remember your trip while staying warm!
Rain Gear
If you are traveling to central Florida, pack rain gear! Even when it is not hurricane season, rain showers can be frequent and intense. Be sure to include a poncho and/or small umbrella in your bag so you are prepared.

Park Bag
When making your packing list for your Disney World trip, be sure to include a park bag or fanny pack. I like to pack a waterproof, light bag with padded shoulder straps and an outside pocket for a water bottle. Be sure to throw in a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, portable charger, and your cell phone. The Disney app will drain your cell phone battery, so keep a handy one in your park bag or pocket!

Is there a dress code at Disney World?
You can find Disney’s dress code on their website. Shoes and shirts are required, along with proper attire for a family park. Disney can restrict entry for people wearing clothing with offensive language and graphics. Individuals 14 and up are also not allowed to wear adult costumes in Disney parks. Exceptions may be made during the Halloween and Christmas season. See the website for complete info on the dress code at Disney.

Sun Protection
Sun protection is essential in Disney World. Be sure to pack sunscreen for your body and face, along with a good hat or visor and sunglasses. An umbrella, stroller fan, or cooling towels can also help keep you cool during hot days in Orlando!
