If you are sailing with Disney soon, be sure to check out the Palo brunch menu on Disney Cruise Line ships. Disney Cruise Line offers a few adults-only dining experiences onboard their ships, and to me, Palo is one not to be missed location! In fact, sometimes it is the only reservation I make while cruising with DCL! Palo serves both brunch and dinner, but I love the brunch menu, so I will highlight that one here for you! Keep reading for my full Palo brunch review!

What is Palo?

Palo is a fine dining, adults only exclusive restaurant available on some Disney Cruise Line ships. You will find Palo onboard the Disney Magic, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wonder. This beautiful restaurant offers Italian-inspired dishes in a lovely setting.

Palo brunch is available on most sea days and Palo dinner is available nightly to adults onboard. You do need a separate reservation made for Palo. The name “Palo” comes from the poles used to push gondolas through the canals of Venice.

Which ships offer Palo Brunch?

You can find Palo brunch on the four original Disney ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet: Disney Wonder, Disney Magic, Disney Fantasy and the Disney Dream. (The Disney Wish also features Palo as Palo Steakhouse, an adults only steakhouse open for dinner only.)

Brunch is not always offered on shorter itineraries, and is only offered on sea days on the average and longer itineraries. You can book a brunch at Palo through your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, once your onboard booking window opens and you have paid in full.

Your onboard booking window will vary slightly dependent upon your Castaway status (number of times you have sailed with DCL). First time cruisers can begin booking 75 days in advance of their cruise. Silver Castaway sailors (two sails or more) begin booking at 90 days prior, Gold Castaway members begin booking at 105 days prior, and Platinum Castaway Club members and Concierge guests begin booking at 120 days prior to embarkation day. See your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for your most updated information.

What is served on the Palo Brunch Menu on Disney Cruise Line?

Deliciousness is served! Your amazing server will walk you through the brunch menu and offer her honest advice on the best items on the menu! It may be hard to decide. Let me walk you through your options!

Appetizers and Starters

Palo antipasti platter of seafood

This fine dining Italian restaurant offers two antipasti selections to choose from. You can also order both! The first option includes a seafood plate with Alaskan King crab legs, jumbo crab claws, lemon-marinated shrimp, marinated green lip mussels, spiced Ahi Tuna with Meyer lemon, saffron aioli and cocktail sauce.

The second antipasti plate includes sliced prosciutto, cuppa, bresaola, salami, marinated olives, roasted garlic, and delicious cheeses like Parmesan Reggiano and sweet Peppers.

Soups

Diners have two soup options of heirloom tomato and basil or celery soup. The tomato soup is served with grape tomatoes and olive oil. The celery soup is served with Italian sausage and foccocia croutons.

Waffles and Pancakes

Feeling more breakfast than lunch? Palo’s options are delicious! Try the strawberry or apple cinnamon waffles or the buttermilk or blueberry pancakes. All topped with whipped cream and fresh berries!

Eggs

Palo offers plenty of egg options. Try the eggs benedict, eggs on a toasted muffin, eggs florentine, or an omelet! Omelets includes cheese and ham, zucchini, three cheese, or tomato and onion.

Palo mimosas

Pizza

If you love pizza, Palo has some great pizzas and flatbreads. Their calzone is filled with prosciutto, bell peppers and mozzarella. Their flatbreads include margherita, goat cheese with sun dried tomatoes, or spicy Italian sausage.

Entrees

My favorite entree is the parmesan-crusted chicken breast with tomato sauce over risotto! It is my one must have when I’m at Palo. The wild mushroom ravioli is also delicious! Other popular great main courses include a red snapper filet, lasagna bolognese, and grilled sirloin steak.

Desserts

The dessert menu can vary a bit, but be sure to grab something for your sweet tooth! Some of the most well known desserts include the warm amaretto chocolate fondant with espresso gelato, the limoncello almond torte (my personal favorite), tiramisu, vanilla berry panda cotta, and the raspberry chocolate crunch tart with ganache and raspberries. Pair it with a hot cup of coffee and gaze out over the sea – perfection!

Drinks

Palo brunch includes plenty of beverage choices like coffee, tea, juice (freshly squeezed orange juice – yum!) and soda. You can also order a complimentary drink at the beginning of your meal, like a mimosa or champagne. Additional alcoholic drinks are available at cost, including a bottomless mimosa, bellini, speciality cocktail, a bloody mary, and wine by the glass. Your server will be happy to offer pairing suggestions as well.

Where is Palo located on each ship?

Typically, Palo is located on a high deck at the aft (or rear) of a Disney Cruise ship for fantastic views of the ocean. The decor is extremely elegant with floor to ceiling windows and a quiet atmosphere, perfect away from the hustle and bustle of the ship.

The Palo dining room is on deck 10 on the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic. You can find it only deck 12 on the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy.

What is the dress code at Palo?

Disney Cruise Line requests elegant attire for Palo brunch. For men, that means collared shirts, dress pants or slacks and closed toe shoes. Jackets are optional. For women, wear a dress, skirt with a nice blouse, or a pantsuit. No jeans, shorts, flip-flops, swimsuit cover ups, or tank tops for meals at Palo. Save those for the pool deck! Make sure you are comfortable though – Palo brunch can take between 1.5 to 2 hours! (Be sure your kids are happy in the kids clubs, if needed.)

How much is brunch at Palo on Disney Cruise Line?

The current cost for Palo brunch is $50 per person as an additional cost to your cruise fare. Gratuity is not included in that pricing. My husband and I think it is worth the price for such wonderful food and an exquisite dining experience. If you are looking for a fun adults only event to celebrate a birthday, an anniversary or another special event, Palo is a good option. Vegan/vegatarian, and gluten-free options are available at Palo, so be sure to ask about that, if needed.

Tips for Booking Palo Brunch

Disney Magic side of ship

Book early for Palo brunch (or dinner) as availability is limited, especially on sea days. Remember to check your Castaway status to know when your booking date opens. You can always book and cancel closer to sailing, if you change your mind.

Also, check your cruise itinerary to know which days are available for brunch. Let your server know if you have any dietary preferences or needs – they are happy to serve made-to-order items and give great suggestions.

Come hungry – it is a multi course meal, so save room!

I hope this guide to the Palo brunch menu on Disney Cruise Line helps you with planning your next great voyage. The elegance of Palo can’t be beat.
