The carrot cake cookie is one of my absolute favorite treats in a Disney park! If you are a fan of the classic carrot cake dessert, this may become one of yours as well. You can find it at the Trolley Car Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This massive cookie sandwich is made of carrot cake deliciousness with a filling of cream cheese frosting. This iconic treat is a great use of a snack credit at Disney and definitely shareable with your family! Try it on your next Disney vacation!

The History of the Carrot Cake Cookie at Hollywood Studios

The carrot cake cookie first debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Writer’s Stop (now closed in Hollywood Studios). It was also in Sweet Spells for a bit before landing in the Trolley Car Cafe. At times, there may be a seasonal substitution, like the red velvet cookie during the holidays, but the carrot cake cookie with cream cheese icing continually returns as a fan favorite.

Where can I find the carrot cake cookie at Hollywood Studios?

You can now find the carrot cake cookie at the Trolley Car Cafe on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard. If you aren’t familiar with Hollywood Studios, this location is straight down from the main entrance of the park on the right hand side.

The Trolley Car Cafe is the Hollywood Studios park’s Starbucks location. As such, it can build up quite a line so be sure to consider that when you are ready to grab a snack.

You will usually find the carrot cake cookie in the chilled coolers near the registers in its own container, making it very portable. Be sure to grab a plastic knife and some napkins if you want to split it!

Is there seating at the Trolley Car Cafe?

There is not seating at the Trolley Car Cafe, so try to snag a park bench or table with chairs right outside of the cafe. It’s a great area for people watching! If it’s a warm day, try to snag a table with an umbrella.

How much is the carrot cake cookie at Hollywood Studios?

Currently, the carrot cake cookie at Hollywood Studios is priced at $5.49. You can use snack credits to purchase the carrot cake cookie (also save a snack credit for the Jack Jack cookie near Toy Story Land. So good!) Price increases do occur from time to time, so ask a cast member for the most current pricing during your next vacation.

Why is the carrot cake cookie so worth it?

I love the carrot cake cookie because:

  • it’s shareable, making it a good value
  • I love the sweet and spicy combo of carrot cake spices with the cream cheese frosting
  • it reminds me of holidays where carrot cake is often served

Copycat Recipe

Several recipes attempt to copycat the carrot cake recipe can be found online. This one is similar to a carrot cake whoopee pie with cream cheese icing. I find it difficult to find a carrot cake box mix, so I substitute a spice cake mix instead. This recipe makes a smaller version of the cookie, perfect for individual servings. If you want to try a simple version, try this one!
