Are you and your family planning your next trip to the Walt Disney World resort soon and wondering where to find Pocahontas? As a mom of four (including three girls), I am well-versed in all things Disney princesses, so I am happy to help! My personal favorite characters always included Snow White and Cinderella growing up, but my kids have a special place in their hearts for Pocahontas, John Smith, and their stories.
If you are looking to find her, you can always ask the friendly cast members in the Disney parks or check your My Disney Experience app for more info. Keep reading for more info on where to find Pocahontas and more of your favorite characters during your vacation!

In which park can you find Pocahontas?
Beyond just Mickey Mouse, there are so many popular characters in the Disney parks. The Pocahontas meet and greet can be found at the end of the Discovery Island Trails in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This is the only place you can find Pocahontas for a traditional meet and greet.
Simply get to the Tree of Life and turn to the right. The trail entrance is very close to the bridge entering Dinoland USA. Your My Disney Experience app offers fantastic maps of each park. Be sure to allow notifications while in the park and you can get exact directions from your location to the Discovery Island Trails area. Regular meet and greets are returning gradually to the Disney parks, so double-check once you get into the parks for the latest info.
You may also find her on the character cruises and character cavalcades throughout Animal Kingdom. Pocahontas is considered one of the fairly rare characters, so it is always fun to discover her!
Our kids loved discovering her with all the colors of the wind on our last Disney vacation. It’s always a good idea to check the cavalcades times during the day of your visit with the times’ guide.
When should I try to visit Pocahontas at Disney World?
Are you wondering when and where to meet Pocahontas at Disney World? For a traditional character meet, a good time is always near the park opening or park closing. Since this is the only place to meet Pocahontas as one of the unique characters, it is worth prioritizing while at Animal Kingdom. As always, if you hope to meet a specific character, ask a cast member to check their hours. Characters often take breaks, so be sure to pack your patience for any lines that may form.
Are there additional charges to meet the characters?
You can meet characters on the day of your visit at no additional charge. Social distancing may still be in place on the day of your visit, so just be sure to follow Disney’s current guidelines. Even if your favorite princess can’t meet you with open arms with a traditional meet and greet, it is still a magical experience!
What should I take to meet the characters at Disney World?
Consider packing your own Disney autograph book and pen for your visit to Disney World. I like to pack a clickable pen or Sharpie to make it easy for characters to grab and sign. Here are a few of my favorites below. Consider storing the book in a zip bag to prevent any damage from water bottles or rain.
When did Disney’s Pocahontas movie come out?
Disney’s Pocahontas movie came out in 1995. This Disney film is based on the historical figure of Pocahontas and the arrival of English colonial settlers. John Smith and John Rolfe both make an animated appearance in the film.
What else can you do in Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park?
After you visit Pocahontas in Animal Kingdom, you may be wondering what should do now. Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite Disney parks, and as a travel agent, I also encourage my guests to check it all out!
If you want another fantastic character interaction, be sure to visit Camp Minnie-Mickey in their adventure attire in Animal Kingdom.
The first thing you will want to do after coming through the park entrance is to swing left and head towards Pandora. It is a good idea to start here because lines for Flight of Passage will begin to climb during the late morning and early afternoon. Disney fans also know to take advantage of early park entry. If you are staying on property, knock out the most popular rides in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park early.
Be sure to check out the My Disney Experience app for the latest show times. My favorite performances at Animal Kingdom are the Lion King show (with the recently returned Tumble Monkeys!) and the Finding Nemo Show. Disney fans know that these shows are extremely popular. Be sure to check the times guide for show times, and plan to line up early for the performance of your choice.
My other favorite rides include Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safari. Both of these lines can form a significant wait time, so try to hit them early in the morning or later in the afternoon. You can also try the single rider line at Everest for a shorter wait time, or check into rider swap, if you are traveling with young children who can’t ride.
My kids thoroughly enjoy Rafiki’s Planet Watch and the Wilderness Explorers program in Animal Kingdom, so be sure to check those out with your children too!
Which characters can you meet in Disney’s Magic Kingdom?
Magic Kingdom Park is home to many iconic characters and princesses. If you are looking for a specific character, chances are many of them meet here. You can also always check into booking a character meal if you want to find a special princess or character.
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are currently meeting in the Town Square Theater. It is the first building on the right, immediately after you enter the park. This meet and greet is a popular one, so consider booking a Lightning Lane for quick entry.
Tinker Bell used to also appear in the Town Square Theater, but she has not returned as of mid-2022.
Make your way down Main Street USA for a great princess meet and greet. Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland features four princesses. Princess Tiana and Rapunzel appear on one side, with Cinderella and Elena of Avalor on the other.
Merida has traditionally met in her own pavilion near Cosmic Ray’s. She hasn’t yet returned to meet and greets, but hopefully, she will return soon!
If you are a Little Mermaid fan, Ariel can be found in Ariel’s grotto next to the Under the Sea ride in Fantasyland.
Once the Enchanted Times with Belle attraction reopens, this is a great way for your kids to interact with Belle. My kids still talk about their starring roles as a fork, Ariel’s father, and a plate in the show!
Storybook Circus in Fantasyland feature Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck and Goofy. This is one of our favorite areas to cool off and relax, especially if the water features are operating! Chip and Dale may also make an appearance!
Buzz Lightyear and Stitch can also be found in Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom.
Aladdin and Jasmine can be found in Adventureland near Aladdin’s Flying Carpets ride.
I also love running into Mary Poppins, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Peter Pan within the parks while out and about. Always a fun surprise!
My favorite characters to meet in the Magic Kingdom are Cinderella’s stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella. They can be found in Fantasyland, often near the castle. They are absolutely hilarious and so engaging!
Which characters can you meet in Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to great characters from Toy Story, Star Wars, and Disney Junior. Mickey and Minnie can be found at Red Carpet Dreams in their fancy dress attire.
Olaf is at the Celebrity Spotlight and Pluto, Doc McStuffins, Fancy Nancy and Vampirina hang out in the Animation Courtyard.
Sulley may be found near Walt Disney Presents, with BB-8, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader roaming around Star Wars Launch Bay in Galaxy’s Edge. A little heads up on traveling with little ones in Hollywood Studios. They may find Star Wars characters like Kylo Ren to be a bit intimidating, so prepare them appropriately or consider saving interactions until they are a bit older.
What characters appear in Epcot?
You can find Goofy and Pluto near Spaceship Earth in Epcot. If you are lucky, you may spot Alice and Mary Poppins in England’s area of the World Showcase.
My favorite, Snow White, often appears in the Germany area while Mulan hangs out in China.
The famous Anna and Elsa appear in the Royal Sommerhaus. Stroll to France to find Aurora and Belle. Donald is in Mexico with Jasmine in Morocco. Joy, Mickey Mouse and Vanellope can be discovered in the Imagination Pavilion.
