Are you wondering where the best parks near Greer, SC are located? The upstate of South Carolina is exploding with growth these days! If you are traveling to the Greenville/Spartanburg area with young kids or living in the vicinity, be sure to check out all of the great parks in the Greer, SC area. Get out and enjoy the beautiful open space these parks offer. Have the best time with your family!

Greer City Park

Greer City Park, located at 301 East Poinsett Street in the city of Greer, offers a great sunny playground. This beautiful park has some fantastic water fountains, swings, and a paved trail around the pond.

This 12-acre park offers plenty of grassy open space for your little ones to run around, along with public restrooms and a parking lot. The large pavilion next to the playground is the perfect place for an afternoon picnic or even a birthday party! The playground doesn’t have a large amount of shade, so consider visiting in the early morning or later in the day, if temperatures get too warm.

Pelham Mill Park

Pelham Mill Park is located at 2770 East Phillips Road in Greer, SC. This area is the location of an old mill and includes a dog park and a walking trail. No playground at this park, so it is best for walking and exploring. Also, there are no restrooms so come prepared if you are bringing little ones along.

Century Park is a favorite of our kids when we visit the Greenville/Spartanburg area. Located at 3605 Brushy Creek Road, there is plenty to explore! This one has a great neighborhood park feel and all of our kids, from the toddler to the pre-teen, had a good time exploring.

This park recently underwent a fantastic renovation and features the Kids Planet Playground. The playground features two fenced play areas, a small misting area, musical play activities, ziplines, slides, trampolines and a snow cone stand! (The snow cone stand is not open year round, so don’t mention that one to the kids until you get there and confirm it’s open.) The inclusive playground equipment ensures that every visitor gets a chance to play.

Beyond the Kids Planet area, visitors enjoy a basketball court, baseball field, disc golf course, picnic pavilions, and restrooms. It is home to the City of Greer’s baseball and softball complex. You can easily snag a parking spot near the playgrounds in the paved parking lots. Make sure you put Century Park on your list next time you visit the Greer area.
